Acting Chairman of the Palestinian Environment Quality Authority
Eng. Ahmad Abu Thaher is the Acting Chairman of the Environment Quality Authority and a senior environmental professional with extensive experience in environmental policy, climate action, and sustainable development. He leads international cooperation efforts, oversees national environmental projects, and contributes to shaping Palestine’s environmental and climate frameworks. Throughout his career, he has served as the EQA’s operational focal point for global programs, including the Global Environment Facility, and has represented Palestine in numerous international forums on environmental protection, waste management, and climate resilience.
